StatsRule Privacy Policy
StatsRule, LLC is dedicated to providing youth sports scoring, planning, and analytics while protecting the privacy, security, and well-being of young athletes, families, and coaches.
We do not sell personal data, license athlete info to data brokers, or use targeted behavioral ads.
All accounts are operated by adults (parents, coaches, directors). Verified guardians control child data.
We do not perform biometric facial recognition or train AI models on identifiable youth athlete media.
Private team storage, public highlights, and live video cutaways require separate, revocable guardian choices.
1. Information We Collect and Purposes
We collect information strictly necessary to deliver youth sports scorekeeping, player developmental insights, team scheduling, and family communications:
- Adult Account Information: Name, verified email address, account role (parent, coach, scorekeeper, club director), and security credentials.
- Roster & Athlete Information: First name, last name, jersey number, positions, team affiliation, and game performance statistics (at-bats, pitches, hits, outs). Initials can be used at guardian discretion.
- Guardian & Family Relationships: Verified parent-child linkages to enable private player cards and verified social scorekeeping permissions.
- Family Travel / Origin Address: A user-supplied street address used exclusively for calculating family arrival times and directions to ballpark complexes. This address is never shared, logged in public reports, or transferred to opponent scouting.
- Security & Reliability Telemetry: Anonymized HTTP latency and route dimensions used to detect operational errors. URLs, auth tokens, player names, and personal payloads are automatically redacted.
2. Children and Guardian Authority
StatsRule is intended for adult use by parents, coaches, and sports administrators. We do not knowingly allow unsupervised accounts for children under 13 without verifiable parental authority.
When coaches or club directors import team rosters, they act under authorized team administration agreements. Guardians maintain the paramount right to claim their child’s profile, inspect historical data, restrict public visibility, or request prompt data deletion.
3. Video Streaming, Broadcasts & Media Rights
- Third-Party Video Hosting: Full-game livestreams captured via backstop RTMP cameras (e.g. Mevo) are relayed directly to external video services selected by the team (such as YouTube, Facebook Live, or Twitch). StatsRule does not maintain permanent raw video recordings on its servers.
- Granular Guardian Choices: Permission for private team viewing, public gamecast highlights, and broadcast replay cutaways are discrete choices. Granting permission for private viewing does not authorize public posting.
- Right to Revoke: Guardians may revoke media consent at any time. Revocation immediately blocks future highlight generation, removes controlled assets, and invalidates queued cutaways.
