StatsRule Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and Account Authority

StatsRule accounts are designed for adult account holders: coaches, volunteer scorekeepers, club directors, and parents or legal guardians. Users agree to provide accurate information, protect account credentials, and operate within their authorized team or parental scope.

Holding a team or coaching role does not confer parental guardianship. Privacy preferences, media restrictions, and consent revocations established by a verified guardian follow the athlete across all team affiliations.

2. Content Ownership and Limited Service License

You Own Your Content: Users retain all intellectual property rights to the content, rosters, and media they submit. You grant StatsRule a non-exclusive, purpose-limited license solely to store, process, display, calculate statistics, and generate requested outputs (such as box scores, RuleScore™ index cards, and spray charts) within your selected permissions.

No Blanket License: We do not claim blanket commercial licenses over youth athlete media, nor do we license youth footage to third-party advertisers or AI model training datasets.

3. Acceptable Use and Third-Party Data Imports

• Roster & Roster Data Imports: Users who import team rosters via CSV or external exports must possess lawful authorization from their organization or league to upload that data.
• No Harassment or Bullying: The platform is designed to encourage athlete growth. Harassment, abusive comments, defamatory scorebook tampering, or exposing private contact information of youth athletes is strictly prohibited and results in immediate termination.
• Scouting & Public Records: Opponent scouting notes and spray charts are compiled for tactical dugout preparation only and may not be distributed for commercial resale.

4. Scorekeeping, Live Data & Analytical Outputs

StatsRule provides collaborative live scorekeeping tools, natural language voice parsing, and algorithmic RuleScore™ ratings. While our systems employ double-confirmation logic and cross-team conflict alerts, scorekeeping data reflects volunteer input and does not replace official tournament umpire rulings.

RuleScore™ metrics represent algorithmic developmental projections and contextual evaluations. They are informational tools designed to assist player development and coaching, not guarantees of athletic recruitment or scholarship outcomes.

5. Account Termination and Data Portability

Users may request account closure, team disaffiliation, or data export at any time. Upon verified account closure, personal contact details and private media are purged according to our documented Retention and Deletion Schedule.
